Every build is different, but here's how pricing actually works — no mystery, no pressure.

The build

Most solutions start at around $5,000

That covers the full journey — designing the solution with you, building it, testing it properly, and deploying it into your business. More complex builds cost more, and that's scoped during the design stage, so by the time anything is being built you know exactly what it costs. No surprises, ever.

If $5,000 sounds like a lot for software, it's the wrong comparison — the right one is the cost of the problem. Missed calls, cold leads and after-hours admin have a price too; you're already paying it. The right build pays for itself, and if I don't think it will for your business, I'll tell you that on the discovery call.

Running it

Two ways to run it — pick what suits how you operate

Skiply-hosted

Lower upfront · ongoing monthly retainer

Skiply hosts, monitors, maintains and improves the whole thing. You don't think about servers, updates or what happens at 2am — the retainer covers everything, and the solution keeps getting better as your business changes.

Best if you want it to just work, hands-off.

Self-hosted

Higher upfront · smaller management retainer

Built on your own infrastructure, so you own and run the platform it lives on. The build cost is higher, and a smaller ongoing retainer keeps it maintained, updated and working as everything around it changes.

Best if you want it on your own systems, under your control.

Your quote

What shapes the number

Complexity of the build

A single booking flow is simpler than a voice agent that handles eight call types. The design stage scopes this precisely, so the quote reflects what's actually being built.

Volume of usage

Calls, chats and bookings per month all carry running costs. A business handling 50 enquiries a month sits differently to one handling 500.

Systems it connects to

Calendar, CRM, job management, SMS, email — each integration is more capability, and more to build and maintain.

Ongoing management

How much you want handled for you — from 'keep it alive' through to 'keep improving it every month as the business changes'.

The frame for all of it is return on investment. The point isn't the cheapest possible build — it's the build that recovers more than it costs, month after month. That's the test every recommendation has to pass before I'll make it.
